In the past year gaming has become much more available due to social restrictions from Covid. Hopefully, gaming can continue to evolve in the coming summer months. Here are a few titles that will be released this summer to look out for.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a playstation exclusive that will be launching on the PS5 on June 11th. Created by Insomniac Games, Ratchet and Clank is a third person Shooter platform game. “An evil robotic emperor is intent on conquering cross-dimensional worlds, with Ratchet and Clank’s own dimension next in his sights. You’ll need to dust off the dynamic pair’s outrageous weaponry and stop a dimensional collapse in its tracks.” as quoted by Sony, you must go through dimensions to save their own in order to defeat the Robotic Emperor.
Mario Golf Super Rush coming on June 25th, is a new addition to the Mario Sports series. Published by Nintendo, Mario Golf will only be available on the Nintendo Switch. In this game you will race to finish holes trying to get as little hits to go in the hole as well as finish fast. You will also be able to play this game online with friends.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl published by Nintendo will be released in late 2021. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is a remake of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl that came out in September 2006. Here you will go through the remastered story and adventures and catch pokemon along the way! You will have to challenge eight gym leaders before attempting to become the Pokemon League Champion.
Halo Infinite is the next big installment into the Halo series. It will be released in Fall 2021 as of now. Halo Infinite will be a first person shooter featuring the Master Chief, the head of the Halo storyline. This will be the 6th game in the mainline series following Halo 5: Guardians.
Overall there are quite a few new and remastered games to look out for this summer and the rest of the year. Hopefully all have good launches and have exciting gameplay and stories to play through.
