This year in the 2021 SLV football season, our San Lorenzo Valley Cougars finished the varsity season with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. The final game of the season was a blowout against the Harbor Pirates with the final score of SLV 40 and Harbor 8. The only loss was to Scotts Valley in week 2. The final score, Scotts Valley 28 and SLV 0. Week one was the first home game of the season in which SLV beat St. Francis 16 to 10 in overtime. The third week was a large turnaround for SLV winning 38 to 20 against Pajaro Valley just after their loss to Scotts Valley.
The San Lorenzo Valley Cougars JV team only played two games which were both losses before merging with the Varsity team and playing out the last two games with them. The first JV game was played at SLV against St. Francis. The game was relatively close with the final score ST. Francis 18 and SLV 8. The second game was played at Scotts Valley. SLV was able to score twice but Scotts valley ended up winning the Game 40-14. After the two games the SLV JV team merged with the SLV Varsity team to create one SLV Varsity team, both games were won.
