How to Make a Yummy Pasta Dish Popularized by the Social Media App “Tik-Tok”

Written by Azella LaFever (Features Writer)

Since the COVID-19 lockdown officially started one year ago there is not much to do. Being at the house for so long there isn’t anything new and exciting to do but one fun thing to do is cook. There are endless possibilities with cooking. You can cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even deserts. One recipe that blew up on Tik-Tok is the feta cheese pasta because it was so easy to make and is delicious.

What you will need:

Oven safe pan

Pasta Pan

Ingredients:

Any type of pasta

Feta Cheese

Cherry tomatoes

Olive Oil

Seasonings of your choice

Optional (sour cream)

First, you add olive oil, tomatoes, and seasonings of your choice to your oven-safe pan. Then you place the block of feta cheese in the middle of the pan and preheat the oven to 400 Fahrenheit. You bake the feta cheese and tomatoes for about thirty to forty minutes. The feta cheese should be a golden brown color on top and the tomatoes should be oozing.

While the feta and tomatoes are baking in the oven, you should grab a pot and fill it with water and some salt and bring it to a boil and cook it following the instructions on the box. When the pasta is done you should save one half of a cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.

Once the thirty to forty minutes have passed take the pasta out of the oven and let it cool for about five to ten minutes and then add the pasta to the pan with the feta and tomatoes mix it around and add the half cup of pasta water slowly. Once it is all mixed it is optional to also mix in sour cream or basil or even spinach.

This recipe is great for lunch or dinner and it is super easy to make. I made it for dinner for my family and some of our family friends on Tuesday night and they all loved it. I added sour cream and for the seasonings, I added garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, and oregano and it turned out delicious. This recipe was delicious and i can’t wait to make it again.
