Marvel has become one of the most iconic pop culture franchises ever since their first live-action movie in 2008. Since then the franchise has grossed over 22 billion dollars from all of its films and been bought by Disney. If you are one of the many fans of Marvel movies then you might be in luck because Disney has recently announced multiple brand new Marvel shows premiering this year on their streaming service Disney plus.
If you did not know already the very first of the numerous shows coming to the streaming service has already dropped and it is called ¨WandaVision.¨ This show follows superheroes Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they are cast in a 1950’s style sitcom. There are going to be a total of eight episodes this season, seven of which have already dropped, and if you are wondering why they would make the show in that style, without giving any spoilers there is much more to this story than what you can tell from the trailers!
At the time of writing this article, a new trailer has dropped for a brand new Marvel show called “Falcon and Winter Soldier”. This series follows the heroes Falcon and Winter Soldier and takes place during the aftermath of Avengers Endgame as they face off against a mysterious villain with the help of old allies. This is one that I am personally the most excited for as it would solve many questions fans had from Endgame such as Steve Rogers giving Falcon the iconic Captain America shield at the end of the movie. This exciting new series is set to drop on March 19th on Disney Plus.
The Marvel shows that are talked about above are all about the heroes of the Marvel universe but I can assure you that they do not always focus on the heroes they have an upcoming show about everyone’s favorite villain, Loki. This series is quite important to the franchise as it solves a big plot hole in Avengers Endgame as well as revives the previously dead Loki. At the time of this article, we only have one first look trailer of the series and it just looks awesome. The unfortunate thing about this show is that we do not yet have a release date scheduled, but it is assured that this show will drop sometime before the end of 2021.
The three shows mentioned in this article are just a sample of what we are going to get in the future from Disney and Marvel studios there is a rumor that we are going to get a total of thirteen total Marvel series shortly. Unfortunately, we do not yet know many details regarding those shows but for now, we can soon enjoy these brand new series coming in the next few months!
