Safe Ways to Stay Entertained during the COVID-19 Pandemic

During this pandemic, it has left us quarantined at home, with not much to do. People have found many ways to keep busy during this time. For example, picking up new hobbies and finding ways to stay busy such as cooking, staying organized and being productive, improving your mental and physical health, and even some have started their own business. Some have also become very invested in social media and starting their own platform. 

Now that people have picked up hobbies such as cooking and baking, some have created a page on social media where they post recipes, and tips and tricks on how to perfect their recipes. Some websites that have been super popular during this time for this reason are, Pinterest, Instagram, and many more. Some have even created their own website! These websites are not only good for recipes, but also for inspiration! Some advice from one of the accounts was to choose your favorite ingredient, or taste, and run with it. It is much easier than expected to create a combination you’ll love. 

Staying organized and staying productive have been playing a huge factor in this pandemic. Being that most of us are staying inside 90% of the time, it is always nice to be in a clean space that is coming and peaceful to look at. One way to stay organized is to create a checklist or a “to-do list”. They keep you on track and it is always satisfying to check off one of those boxes once you have completed the task, and feel confident with it. Another way to stay organized is to set goals for yourself. Tell yourself one thing you want to finish by a certain time and stay motivated. 

One very important thing during this time is to keep your mental and physical health at a healthy rate. Although a lot of gyms and related locations have been shut down for a period of time due to Covid restrictions, it is always possible to improve your mental health, and it is always possible to make time for it. Some ways to do that are to find a journal and jot down your thoughts everyone once in a while, or to purchase a gratitude journal, or make your own! A gratitude journal is where you write down 3-5 things you are thankful for each day. 

Recently people have become very interested in social media and starting or improving their own platform. Whether it is posting content of something inspirational, to help other people, or doing something you love, such as dancing or singing. It is possible for anyone, and you can really post content about anything that interests you or intrigues you, with of course respecting guidelines.  

Starting a personal business has become very popular recently. Many have learned how to create their own jewelry, clothing, or art pieces, and selling them on platforms such as Etsy, Poshmark, Depop, Instagram, and many more. This has allowed people to inspire others and make a living off of it while doing that!

During this excessive amount of time we have during this pandemic, there are many ways to stay busy, and have fun while doing it! For example, picking up new hobbies such as cooking, staying organized and being productive, improving your mental and physical health,  and even starting your own business. Some have also become very invested in social media and starting their own platform.
