Logan Paul made a great mistake when he showed a dead body hanging from the trees of the Suicide Forest in Japan, near Mount. Fuji. Little did he know that people were already making petitions to get him off Youtube, his only high paying profession, and with all of this hate towards him, there is a great possibility that they might succeed to get rid of him.
Logan Paul has been getting hate from the beginning, just like normal Youtubers, but with the video he uploaded he caused the most hate of all. He uploaded a video of a man who commited suicide and instead of shutting off the cameras, he instead got up very close, kept recording, and laughed about it with his friends. It was an incredibly disrespectful thing to do. He tried to save himself by saying in a tweet that he meant no harm, while mentioning himself and his success throughout the whole apology. “This is a first for me. I’ve never faced criticism like this before, because I’ve never made a mistake like this before…I didn’t do it for views. I get views…”. Many people on twitter say that using his views as an excuse is flat out wrong. They all are saying that he obviously did it for views by putting a dead body in the snapshot of the video. He even went as far as to tweet about his “great” video about to be uploaded, in an attempt to get even more views. With the tweet, he makes it seem like a life changing video. “Tomorrow’s vlog will be the craziest and most real video I’ve ever uploaded,” He said on December 30, 2017. Thinking he would save himself in his own tweets, other celebrities had something to say about him.
Other celebrities disagreed with his choice to record it greatly, and had quite a bit to say about him. Aaron Paul, for example, says “Dear @LoganPaul, How dare you! You disgust me. I can’t believe that so many young people look up to you. So sad. Hopefully this latest video woke them up. You are pure trash. Plain and simple. Suicide is not a joke. Go rot in hell.” Aaron clearly hated what Logan had done, and pointed out that children are watching his vlogs, that are already filled with inappropriate content, but this was just icing on the cake. One part that will really stand out to many people is the fact that he clearly states that Logan did not take the situation seriously, and he needs to realize that suicide is not a joke. Along with what others have to say about Logan, he sets himself up to fail, beginning with his own title.
Logan uses his title, “We found a dead body in the Japanese Suicide Forest…” He claims that he doesn’t use this poor man’s body as clickbait, but obviously, according to the title he puts it as, trying to get attention is what he wants. It doesn’t matter if it’s “the most real vlog” as he says, it’s not okay to put up online. To himself, he knows he gets over the top amount of views with stupid content, but to the family and viewers he went too far on this one.
Logan Paul is clearly an idiot. He clearly stated to all of his viewers, the true boy that he is made up to be. He makes fun of a person who thought suicide was the only way out and claimed to say it was for “making awareness.” He apologizes over and over again, but you can’t apologize for something you meant to do, even going through all of the editing and still making this decision to expose that man to the world. It is disrespectful to the victim, family, and all of his viewers. Now we just wait and sees what will happen to someone who created a huge problem for themselves.
